LAKE TINAROO

Lake Tinaroo is 600 metres above sea level and is a completely fresh water lake surrounded by state forest and farming lands, the rolling green hills have to be seen to be believe.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Enjoy the historical journey up The Cairns Range Road now know as The Gillies Highway whilst enjoying the spectacular views of the Goldsborough Valley below.  A photo opportunity at Heales Lookout named after Ted Heale, a member of the Eacham Shire Council instrumental in the push for a road to the coast.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Enjoy the lush rainforests of the Tablelands as we round the hill and approach the summit.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Once at Yungaburra, it's only 2 minutes to Tinaburra  and the fresh blue waters of Lake Tinaroo.
